Shorefix replaces damaged and leaking roof lights on static caravans
These are the four most common types
The AG Eurovent has fixed ventilation when closed.
Due to it's opening nature, it's very prone to the lid being ripped off by strong winds. Sometimes you can replace the outer louvre and lid, but this can be problematic if the retaining screw is corroded.
Specification:
Aperture size: 356 x 356mm (14" x 14")
Exterior dimensions: 415 x 415mm (16.3" x 16.3")
Removable flyscreen
Ventilation rating: 22000 sq mm
Fitted to flat roofs
The AG standard wind-up roof light is different from the Eurovent in that there is no ventilation when closed.
This is also a common roof light fitted to many statics and suffers from the same issue with the lid and strong winds.
Specification:
Aperture size: 356 x 356mm (14" x 14")
Exterior dimensions: 415 x 415mm (16.3" x 16.3")
Integrated flyscreen
No ventilation rating
Fitted to flat roofs
The 170mm x 170mm roof vent assembly is a fixed ventilation and non-opening type of vent.
Fitted over kitchens and showers, the lids can become brittle and disintegrate. Also the mastic seal between the flange and the roof can fail allowing water ingress.
Specification:
Aperture size: 170 x 170mm (6.75" x 6.75")
Optional flyscreen
Ventilation rating: 21604 sq mm
Fitted to flat roofs
The tile effect roof vent assembly is similar to the 170 x 170 above, the main difference being it will only fit pantile roofs.
The flanges and lids on these are prone to becoming brittle and water will ingress.
Specification:
Aperture size: 170 x 170mm (6.75" x 6.75")
Optional flyscreen
Ventilation rating: 21604 sq mm
Fitted to pantile roofs
